CRISTINA VINCE...Master Color Corrector

Hairdressing since 2010, Joined Parlor in 2013

Cristina is extremely passionate about all things hair. Her talents are too many to count, but she feels that her true callings are precision haircuts and color corrections. A challenging color correction can make some stylist's tremble with nerves. Cristina finds it incredibly freeing to be given the opportunity to take something negative and turn into a thing of beauty. Art school trained, Cristina became interested in becoming a hairdresser at the age of 19 when she was given what she feels was the "worst haircut of her life". She attended the Aveda Institute in Youngstown, Ohio where she started fine tuning her skills. By the time she moved to NYC in 2012 she had already worked in some of the best AVEDA salons in both Ohio and California. She made her way to Parlor in 2013 due to her intense love of AVEDA products and culture. She loves Parlor because of our encouragement of free expression of creativity! It was a match made in heaven!

Cristina in her spare time loves to paint and listen to many different genres of music. She frequently attends concerts and enjoys being involved in NYC's diverse music culture. Her playlists at Parlor are a favorite in both of our locations. She has a 6 year old son named Sebastian (he is her life and soul) who she lives with in Brooklyn. She credits her style icons as Vidal Sassoon because he completely revolutionized the haircutting craft, and Debbie Harry because she is just plain perfection.
